However, in Nightreign, the enemies’ health bars are inflated due to the three-player scaling. This means that simply applying status effects that trigger health percentage-based damage, like Bleed, Black Flame, Scarlet Rot, and Deathblight, can significantly speed up your progression.

Status effects like Scarlet Rot or Bleed are particularly devastating. Once these statuses are applied, they steadily drain health from enemies, offering a way to bypass their inflated health pools. When you land a Bleed proc, it can chunk an enemy’s health bar down quickly, allowing you to maintain pressure and continue progressing without relying entirely on raw DPS.

Out of all the status effects in Nightreign, Bleed is by far the strongest. In the network test, Bleed triggers more consistently and deals absurdly high damage, especially in the early patches of the game. For players looking for an edge, investing in Bleed-based weapons or spells should be a top priority.

Characters like Wilder (with his enhanced Greatsword moveset), Guardian (with his Hellbird focus), and Duchess (who’s tailored for daggers) have an excellent synergy with Bleed weapons. Their weapon choices are optimized for proccing Bleed often, and that’s where the majority of your damage will come from.

Bleed isn’t just powerful because of the damage output—it can essentially turn encounters into endurance tests, where enemies are slowly whittled down as long as you can land consistent hits. This makes Bleed-centric builds incredibly reliable and rewarding in the Nightreign Network Test.

While all weapons in Nightreign can be powerful, Legendary Weapons stand out because they come with special passives that significantly impact gameplay.   · Lion Great Bow: For those who prefer ranged combat, this bow offers unlimited arrows and a unique passive that causes gravity pulls on all regular shots. This creates clusters of enemies that are easily taken down with AoE effects, making this a great tool for both clearing enemies and setting up group kills.

4. Key Mechanics: Upgrading Your Flask and Mage Towers

In the Nightreign Network Test, there are several important mechanics that can make a massive difference in the success of your run. These include flask upgrades and Mage Towers.

Flask Upgrades:

Many players overlook the power of upgrading their flasks early on, but it can be the difference between life and death. The game allows you to visit three churches of America scattered around the map. By visiting these locations, you gain an extra flask charge, and upgrading your flask to the maximum of six charges is crucial. It’s an easy win for your sustainability, particularly when tackling high-tier bosses like the Night Lord.

Mage Towers:

Mage Towers are scattered across the map, and upgrading them provides magical benefits, often improving your Intelligence or granting powerful buffs to your spells. Even if you’re not running a mage build, visiting these towers is worth it for the free upgrades. The towers are easy to access and provide significant stat boosts that can help push you through tougher parts of the game.

5. Leveling and Runes: The Key to Power

Elden Ring Nightreign operates under a time-limited structure, meaning you’ll want to prioritize leveling up as efficiently as possible. As you progress through the game, gaining runes and leveling up your character is crucial, especially since death results in the loss of runes and potential setbacks.

Here are a few tips for leveling:

  · Focus on high-enemy density areas: Areas with large groups of enemies will yield the most runes, and since you’re playing in co-op, it’s easier to clear these areas with the help of your teammates.

  · Don’t ignore the Sight of Grace: These locations allow you to level up when you have enough runes, and the difference between Level 1 and Level 3 can be massive. Prioritize your leveling early on to give yourself a significant edge.

  · Time is limited: Since runs are timed, making sure you level efficiently will give you the upper hand when facing stronger enemies later in the game. You don’t want to reach the Night Lord boss only to realize you’re underleveled.

Consider synergies between characters—Duchess is excellent for damage-over-time effects, Guardian can provide safety zones for reckless plays, and Reck has access to powerful spells that can clear large groups of enemies.
