100 Terrorized Zone Runs in D2R: Ladder Season 9
Diving into 100 Terrorized Zone Runs on Softcore Ladder Season 9 in Diablo 2 Resurrected. Armed with a 320% Magic Find (MF) setup, I climbed to level 87 while exploring some of the most treacherous zones Sanctuary has to offer. Today, I’m sharing the loot highlights, my gear, and a few surprises from my Double Throw Barbarian journey!
My Setup
Let’s begin with the basics:
· Character Build: Double Throw Barbarian
· Magic Find Bonus: 320%
· Core Stats: Balanced between Strength for gear and Vitality for survival.
· Resistances: Decent, but nothing extraordinary—let’s just say I’ve had my fair share of near-death experiences!
Here’s a closer look at the key equipment:
· Weapons: Dual throwing weapons with high Enhanced Damage and life leech.
· Helmet: Shako (Harlequin Crest), boosting my MF and survivability.
· Armor: Skin of the Vipermagi, not perfect, but useful for resistances and skills.
· Rings: A bad Raven Frost, but it still prevents freeze and adds some attack rating.
· Amulet: Magic Find-focused with resistances, waiting to upgrade to a Mara's Kaleidoscope.
Loot Highlights
1. Shako – Harlequin Crest
A staple for any MF enthusiast, finding another Shako was a highlight. While it wasn’t an upgrade for me, the current trading market makes it an excellent asset. Shakos are always in demand for their unmatched versatility.
2. Grand Matron Bow (3 to Skills, 4 Sockets)
Finding a 3-skills, 4-socket Grand Matron Bow felt like hitting the jackpot! While it’s not perfect, this rare bow opens doors to crafting a high-tier Faith Runeword for Bowazons. It’s a dream D2R items for Amazon players this season.
3. Skin of the Vipermagi
This iconic caster armor dropped, though its resistances weren’t maxed. Despite that, its +1 to all skills and faster cast rate make it a reliable option for builds like Sorceresses or Hammerdins.
4. Chains of Honor – Perfect Roll
Luck was on my side as I stumbled upon a Chains of Honor (CoH) with a perfect roll! Its +2 to skills, high resistances, and life leech make it a cornerstone for many builds. This was easily the highlight of my 100-run spree, and I couldn’t be happier.
5. Trap Grand Charm (Skiller)
Assassins rejoice! A trap skiller dropped during one of the runs. While I don’t play an Assassin this season, it’s a valuable find that could make for great trade bait or inspire me to start a trap build.
6. Javelin Grand Charm (Skiller)
Another skiller, this time for Javazons. The coincidence of getting both the bow and javelin skillers had me wondering if the RNG gods were nudging me to try an Amazon build this season.
7. Arctic Blast Druid Skill Gear
While not meta, this drop gave me a reason to try out Arctic Blast. It’s not a common skill focus, but experimenting with niche builds is part of the fun in Diablo 2 Resurrected.
8. Corpse Explosion Necromancer Gear
Some gloves dropped that complement a Corpse Explosion Necromancer. While they’re not part of a god-tier setup, it’s nice to see gear that enables unique playstyles.
What’s Next?
With these finds, my next step involves making a Fortitude Runeword if nothing better comes along. This armor is a game-changer for many melee builds, and my Barbarian could benefit greatly from it.
Also, I’ll be keeping an eye out for more MF gear and skillers to complete my collection. As the season progresses, I hope to trade some of these items for upgrades or experiment with new characters like an Assassin or Amazon.
Closing Thoughts
This run was a reminder of why Diablo 2 Resurrected continues to captivate players. The thrill of finding iconic items like the Shako or crafting potential in high-end bows makes every session exciting.
