During the opening phase of a server, most players are focused on acquiring Legend of YMIR Diamonds, blue-grade gear, skill books, and upgrade materials. While amber remains universally important, two materials quickly become the backbone of early progression: Sunstone and Silverine. These materials are heavily consumed for gear enhancement and crafting, which is why demand skyrockets early on.

 

The most efficient source for both Sunstone and Silverine is hunting mini bosses in Faulkbang, making this zone a central battleground for competitive players.

 

Unlocking Faulkbang and Understanding Mini Bosses

 

Once your character reaches level 35, you gain access to Faulkbang. Inside this area are four primary mini bosses, each associated with a class archetype:

 

· Scald

· Vulba

· Warlord

· Berserker

 

According to insights from the Korean community, these mini bosses vary significantly in difficulty. From hardest to easiest, the general ranking is Scald, followed by Vulba, then Warlord, and finally Berserker as the easiest target. Early on, these bosses are extremely challenging, which makes party play not just recommended, but mandatory.

 

One critical detail to understand is party composition. A group with a Scald feels dramatically different from one without it. Scald provides exceptional utility and survivability, which is why the class is highly sought after and especially strong for F2P players. If you play Scald, you will rarely struggle to find a group for this content.

 

Normal Map vs. PK Map Dynamics

 

Faulkbang exists in two versions: a normal map and a PK-enabled map. On the normal map, competition is intense. Numerous parties will be farming simultaneously, racing for mini boss spawns and attempting to out-DPS one another.

 

To address this congestion, the game offers a PK version of Faulkbang. Here, players can attack and eliminate each other, which naturally lowers population density. For hardcore players-especially those who have invested real this PK zone becomes strategically valuable. Controlling it early allows them to monopolize mini-boss kills, secure materials, and generate a faster return on investment.

 

If you have friends or clanmates who are similarly geared, teaming up to dominate the PK map is one of the most aggressive early-game strategies available.

 

Respawn Timers and Strategic Advantages

 

Another system hardcore players exploit is boss respawn timing. On the normal map, mini bosses respawn two hours after being defeated. Smart parties set timers immediately after a kill. If your group manages to defeat a boss discreetly, you gain a significant edge by being the only ones aware of the exact respawn window.

 

However, keep in mind that server maintenance resets respawn timers, which can disrupt planned rotations.

 

In contrast, the PK map has a much longer respawn timer-approximately eight hours after defeat. This longer window increases the stakes, making each kill more meaningful and each conflict more intense.

 

Opportunities for F2P Players

 

Early on, it is likely that hardcore players will be fighting each other relentlessly over Faulkbang mini bosses, while many F2P players focus on amber farming. That said, F2P players are not locked out of this content. Based on reports from the Korean community, mini boss drops use a last-hit system, meaning the party that lands the final blow receives the loot.

 

This opens up a high-risk, high-reward strategy: F2P players can attempt to join fights near the end and potentially steal the last hit. While dangerous, this approach can pay off, especially if coordinated with a party.

Faulkbang is more than just a farming zone-it is a competitive ecosystem shaped by coordination, timing, and risk.
