Legend of YMIR Historian Quest Guide
In Legend of YMIR, progressing efficiently during the early stages of the game can make a significant difference in how quickly you grow stronger than other players. One of the most valuable but often overlooked features is the Historian Quest system. These quests function like investigative missions that cannot be completed through auto-play, requiring players to manually travel, interact with NPCs, and solve small objectives. While completing these tasks requires some effort and Legend of YMIR diamonds, they reward players with powerful combat attribute bonuses and valuable resources, making them well worth it—especially in the early stages of an adventure.
Why Historian Quests Are Important
Historian quests provide two major benefits for character progression. First, they grant permanent combat stat bonuses that strengthen your character's overall performance in battle. Second, they reward players with valuable resources such as Amber, a currency used for many essential systems in the game.
Because the early stages of the game are often crowded with players competing for quest objectives and grinding locations, completing these quests quickly helps you stay ahead of the progression curve. The sooner you finish them, the sooner you gain combat advantages that make leveling and farming significantly easier.
Preparation Before Starting
Before beginning the quest chain titled “The True Power of the Ahari,” it is highly recommended to prepare a few key items. When you reach the first major town, purchase a large number of potions for survival during exploration and combat encounters.
More importantly, buy at least 10–20 Move Order Forms (or their equivalent in the global version). These items allow you to fast travel to landmarks across the map. Without them, the quest can take more than an hour due to long travel distances. With fast travel, however, the process becomes dramatically faster and far more efficient.
Step 1: Visit Raven's Hall in Asgard Castle
The first step asks you to search for someone who knows the power of an Ahari. Open your map by pressing M, select Asgard, then navigate to Asgard Castle. From the landmark list, choose Raven's Hall and teleport there. Once you arrive, locate the NPC known as the Prophet of Rumors. Speak with her to begin the investigation and unlock the next part of the quest.
Step 2: Meet the Golden Apple Guardian
Next, open your map again and travel to Valley of Eden in Asgard. From the landmarks list, select Village of Eden and teleport there using your Move Order Form. In the village, find Eden, who stands near a large tree. You may already recognize her from earlier story quests. Speak with her to progress the mission.
Step 3: Travel to Acres Falls
After speaking with Eden, she will direct you to the place where you previously encountered the Water Dier. Open the map again and navigate to Aar's Cliffs in Asgard. Select Acres Falls as your destination. When you arrive, cross the nearby bridge and continue forward until you find an NPC standing near a rock formation. This character will ask you to retrieve an item known as the Vija Herb.
Step 4: Collect the Vija Herb
Follow the path behind the waterfall at Acres Falls. At the back of the waterfall area, you will find the Vija Herb. Interact with it to collect the quest item. Once obtained, the objective updates and sends you back to the Prophet of Rumors at Raven's Hall.
Step 5: Find the Hidden Castle Chest
Return to Raven's Hall in Asgard Castle and speak to the Prophet again. She will then instruct you to find a hidden chest near the giant statue of the Aesir in the Valley of Eden. Teleport to the Giant Statue Landmark in the Valley of Eden. Once there, follow the path and climb the nearby stairs. At the top, look carefully along the wall—the hidden chest is located right in front of the staircase area. Interact with it to continue the quest.
Step 6: Locate the Mysterious Woman
The next objective directs you back to Village of Eden, but not to Eden herself. Instead, look for a mysterious woman near the large central tree in the village.
Upon arriving in the village, move forward toward the large tree directly in front of the teleport point. The NPC will be standing nearby. Speak with her to unlock the final stage of the quest.
Step 7: Bifrost Hill Boss Encounter
For the final step, open your map and travel to Bifrost Hill in Asgard. From the landmarks menu, choose Bifrost Altar, located at the southern end of the region. At this location, you will trigger a boss battle accompanied by a Quick Time Event (QTE). During the fight, prompts will appear requiring you to press specific keys—usually S or F—at the correct moment. Successfully completing these prompts helps you avoid damage and defeat the boss more efficiently.
After the battle concludes, the quest chain “The True Power of the Ahari – Part 1” will be complete, and you will receive the full rewards, including Amber and valuable combat stat boosts.
Final Tips
Historian quests may take a bit more effort than typical auto-complete missions, but the rewards are well worth it. By preparing fast travel items, following the correct route, and completing objectives efficiently, you can finish the quest chain quickly and gain a strong early advantage.
