The latest GGG Live reveal for Path of Exile 2 patch 0.4 finally showcased the long-awaited Druid class. Unlike Path of Exile 1's older transformation triggers, the PoE2 Druid swaps between human form and three unique primal forms seamlessly.

Bear Form - The Tanky Rage-Fueled Juggernaut

The Bear form focuses on overwhelming physical attacks, brutal crowd control, and the newly expanded Rage resource mechanic. While slower than the other transformations, it compensates with massive AoE slams, powerful metaskills, and an ultimate ability that turns the battlefield into a pyre of destruction.

1. Bear Form Basic Attack - Maul

Your shapeshift trigger. Using Maul transforms you into a Bear and generates Rage with each enemy struck. That Rage can then be consumed to empower subsequent attacks.

2. Furious Slam

One of the best early AoE tools. The Bear slams the ground with a wide impact radius, dealing heavy physical damage and consuming Rage for bonus scaling. Perfect for clearing dense packs in both campaign and endgame maps.

3. Rampage

A mobility-damage hybrid skill that has you charge around stomping the ground. Each stomp deals AoE damage, and any Rage spent powers up the attack. Near Volcano terrain objects, Rampage triggers additional lava projectiles, adding environmental synergy.

4. Ferocious Roar (Metaskill)

A warcry that buffs your next attack based on Endurance Charges while shredding enemy armor. Since Ferocious Roar is a metaskill, you can socket other warcries into it-granting layered buffs automatically. Players preparing for high-tier encounters may want to buy POE2 Items that enhance warcry scaling to maximize its output.

5. Walking Calamity (Ultimate)

The Bear form's most devastating ability. Consumes Rage to create a ring of fire that follows you, adds fire damage, and significantly boosts attack speed. Great for boss fights and high-density scenarios.

Werewolf Form - Agile Cold-Damage Assassin With Wolf Minions

The Werewolf form is fast, responsive, and perfect for players who enjoy mobility-heavy combat. Most of its abilities deal cold damage, apply Freeze, and use marks to summon wolf allies.

1. Werewolf Basic Attack

Leap forward with rapid slashes. The high attack speed makes it a strong single-target and pack-clearing tool-and it synergizes with cold ailments.

2. Lunar Assault

A sweeping AoE that freezes enemies. After freezing a pack, you can follow up with your basic attack to shatter ice shards. These shards then explode for additional AoE damage, creating massive clear potential.

3. Pounce (Metagem)

Jump onto an enemy, applying a mark. When that enemy dies, a wolf minion spawns. Because Pounce is a metagem, you can socket other mark abilities inside it for additional curses-a huge boon for bossing.

4. Cross Slash

Leap backward while performing a double slash. This detonates any marks on the target, allowing you to summon wolves even during boss encounters. Pair it with Lunar Assault for massive crowd bursts.

5. Arctic Howl

A warcry that creates chilled ground, boosts cold damage, and buffs your wolf pack. Great for maintaining control in dangerous encounters.

6. Lunar Blessing

Howl at the moon and transform into an Arctic Werewolf with enhanced speed and lethality. If you carry leftover Rage from Bear form, you can consume it to extend the duration of this transformation-showcasing one of PoE2 Druid's many cross-form synergies.

Wyvern Form - Fire-Breathing Dragon With Lightning and Devour Mechanics

The real surprise in Path of Exile 2's reveal was the Wyvern form-a draconic transformation that adds aerial attacks, lightning-charged melee, fire projectiles, and even an ability that lets you eat enemies alive.

1. Wyvern Basic Attack

A melee swipe that becomes a lightning-infused AoE when you have a Power Charge. This makes Wyvern form feel extremely explosive when fully charged.

2. Devour

A signature skill that consumes corpses-or marked enemies-to generate Power Charges. When an enemy displays the blue icon, you can eat them for a massive damage spike. You can farm Path of Exile 2 Currency quickly, an excellent skill for PoE2 players planning fast-clear builds.

3. Wing Blast

Send a shockwave of wind, dealing frontal AoE and pushing enemies back. With lightning infusion active, Wing Blast chains lightning between targets.

4. Rolling Magma

Fire bouncing magma orbs along a line, dealing AoE fire damage. Long-time PoE players will recognize its PoE1 mechanics-excellent for lane-style combat.

5. Oil Barrage

Drench enemies in oil, making them highly vulnerable to Ignite. With a Power Charge, the Druid fires lightning darts simultaneously, creating a multi-element hybrid attack.

6. Flame Breath (Ultimate)

Take flight and rain down devastating fire breath. While airborne, you are completely immune to enemy damage, making Flame Breath one of the strongest ultimate skills revealed so far.
