Path of Exile 2 patch 0.4: Oracle Ascendancy Guide

Dec 23, 2025, 09:38:02 PST | Categories : Path of Exile 2 |

Path of Exile 2's Last of the Druids update introduces two brand-new Ascendancies for the Druid class, and among them, the Oracle stands out as one of the most visually striking and mechanically unique options.

This article covers everything we know so far about the Oracle Ascendancy in Path of Exile 2: how foresight works, how future-visions empower your abilities, and all currently revealed Ascendancy passives.

What Is the Oracle in Path of Exile 2?

The Oracle is a prophet-themed Ascendancy designed around the idea of seeing the future before it happens and bending that timeline to amplify damage or avoid lethal hits.

The result is a highly strategic playstyle that rewards timing, prediction, and reactive skill usage. It's easily one of the most innovative Ascendancies PoE has seen to date.

How the Oracle's Foresight Mechanics Work

The core fantasy and gameplay loop of the Oracle revolves around two central nodes: Fateful Vision and Converging Paths. These define how the class manipulates alternate timelines during combat.

Fateful Vision - Seeing Your Future Power

With the Fateful Vision passive, the Oracle periodically sees a spectral version of themselves casting one of their skills. If you then use the real version of that ability before the vision expires, you merge with the future, empowering the skill with dramatically increased damage.

This mechanic delivers:

·Burst potential for spellcasting builds

·Incentive to mix reactive play with your normal rotation

·A unique feeling of "setting up" your own empowered abilities in advance

Converging Paths - Predicting Enemy Vulnerability

While Fateful Vision lets you see your future actions, Converging Paths reveals the future of an enemy. When an enemy is close to being frozen, stunned, or otherwise weakened, a vision manifests showing their destabilized state.

Triggering the vision at the right time with the skill Moment of Vulnerability (granted by the node) lets you collapse the future into the present, dealing damage to both versions of the enemy at once.

This leads to:

·Massive burst when enemies are about to break

·Synergies with freeze, stun, and ailment-focused builds

·A rewarding high-skill gameplay loop

Together, these two mechanics make the Oracle one of Path of Exile 2's most mechanically intriguing Ascendancies.

Oracle Build Flexibility - Over 130 Extra Passive Nodes

Oracle isn't only about prediction. It also unlocks enormous build crafting potential thanks to additional passive pathways tied to The Unseen Path and Traveler's Wisdom.

Obtaining The Unseen Path notably opens access to 130+ new passive nodes, vastly expanding what your Druid can do.

This enables:

·Unusual cross-tree combinations

·Efficient passive routing

·Specialized hybrid playstyles

·Saving points while gaining niche effects

For theorycrafters, the Oracle may prove to be one of the strongest Ascendancies in the game.

All Oracle Ascendancy Passives in Path of Exile 2

Below are all currently known passives. Values and details may change by launch, as GGG has not yet finalized official numbers.

The core "future-self" mechanic synergizes with damage-boosting Path of Exile 2 Items for maximum effect.

This branch is the ultimate min-maxer playground. Players may choose to buy POE2 Currency to accelerate gear and testing for these high-level setups.

Final Thoughts

The Oracle isn't just visually stunning-it introduces gameplay mechanics never seen before in Path of Exile. From predictive future casting to collapsing enemy timelines to unlocking over a hundred extra passive nodes, this Ascendancy represents a bold new direction for PoE2 build design.
