ARC Raiders: 8 Hidden Weapon Crate Locations You Should Be Looting
If you've been grinding Arc Raiders for a while, you've probably noticed that the most obvious high-value areas get looted instantly-especially if you spawn in late. That's why knowing the off-path, low-traffic ARC Raiders loot spots is one of the easiest ways to gear up consistently without fighting half the lobby.
This guide breaks down eight lesser-known weapon case locations on the Dam Battlegrounds map, including what types of loot they can drop, how to reach them, and why each is worth checking whenever you pass through the area.
1. The Treehouse in the Swamps
Location: South of the Hydroponic Dome Complex
Hidden in the woods is a small treehouse with a car wreck propped beside it. Climb the car, pull yourself into the treehouse, and you might find a weapon case containing anything from shotguns to the Arpeggio assault rifle or even the Osprey sniper rifle.
This crate doesn't always spawn, but because most players run past without noticing the location, the spot is rarely contested and always worth checking.
2. The Forest Floor Crate Near the Treehouse
Just a few steps south of the treehouse, a second spawn point sits right on the ground in the open. It looks obvious, but it's incredibly easy to overlook because nothing else is around.
This crate has produced items like the Berletta pistol, Torrent LMG, and various attachments.
If the treehouse crate doesn't spawn, this one often does-occasionally you even get both.
3. The Rubble Building at Red Lakes
Past the large antennas sticking out of the water at Red Lakes is a half-collapsed building you can actually enter. This is one of the most reliable underrated loot spots in the region.
Inside, you can find:
· Weapon crates
· Ammo boxes
· Lootable drones
Even if the weapon case doesn't appear, the extra spawns ensure the trip is never wasted.
4. The Truck Camp Near the Testing Annex (Southeast Corner)
In the southeast corner of the map, just northwest of the Testing Annex, is a tiny camp with a watchtower and several trucks. A weapon case can appear in the back of the truck beside a blue container.
Because of how remote this camp is, anyone who finds the crate here usually gets it untouched. Check the tower as well-sometimes extra loot spawns up top.
5. The Stairwell Platform Tower Between Testing Annex and Research/Admin
Between the Testing Annex and the Research & Administration building is a tall tower. As you climb the stairs, look to your right for a small jutting platform-that's where the weapon case spawns.
Loot here is pure RNG, but when the crate appears, you can pull very strong mid- to high-tier weapons.
6. Formikai Outpost (Bottom of the Map)
This is arguably the most remote loot spot on the entire map. The only nearby point of interest is the Scrapyard, and most players never bother making the trek.
There's a spawn point nearby, though, so you can occasionally start right next to it.
Inside the tower, a weapon case can spawn on a table, but even if it doesn't, the outpost usually contains multiple other containers that can drop:
· Assault rifles like the Rattler
· Shields
· Grenades
· Ammunition
Because of how many guaranteed containers are present, this location is one of the safest “late-spawn recovery” options in the game.
7. Formikai Hills Green Building
Near the outpost, head to the Formikai Hills area and look behind the small green building. Here you'll find another weapon crate that can reward items like the Torrent, shotguns, ammo, or attachments.
Inside the building are additional ammo crates, making this a quick but valuable detour.
8. The Water Towers (Zipline or Snap Hook Required)
At the northern water towers, you'll need either three ziplines or a snap hook to check all three rooftops. Surprisingly, the snap hook's 20-meter range is just enough to reach the top.
Weapon crates and grenade caches can spawn on multiple towers-including a smaller side tower players often ignore.
Final Thoughts
While the main loot zones will always be hotly contested, these hidden or remote weapon crate locations are ideal for late spawns or quieter looting of ARC Raiders items. Even when cases don't appear, most of these areas contain enough alternative containers to make the visit worthwhile.
Use this route to gear up efficiently, avoid early PvP chaos, and give yourself a significant advantage heading into the mid-game.
