Torchlight: Infinite SS11 introduces a few new conveniences, but most of the core optimizations remain familiar. Whether you are returning for another season or starting fresh, several practical tips will make your gameplay smoother and more efficient. This guide focuses on key bindings, UI adjustments, trade house filters, alt-character preparation, and leveling routes that can noticeably improve your experience and FE per hour.

Key Bindings You Should Adjust Immediately

One of the first things to review each season is your key bindings. Several settings are not configured by default but can provide major quality-of-life improvements.

Auto-Loot (Pickup Button):

This is essential. Holding your pickup key automatically collects any Torchlight Infinite items that pass your loot filter. A well-tuned filter dramatically increases FE per hour because you're only gathering valuable items instead of wasting time on worthless drops.

Town Portal and Dark Surge:

By default, Dark Surge is on Y, but many players find T more comfortable because it’s where your hand naturally rests. Switching the two makes end-of-map interactions smoother. You might switch them back during niche content like mass Keegan farming, but for general play, T for Dark Surge is ideal.

Frozen Canvas Teleport Key:

If you farm Frozen Canvas for Nobles and Magnificent Skill Supports, set a hotkey for the Frozen Canvas map. It’s not assigned by default, but it lets you instantly teleport to any completed egg on the board.

Trade House Shortcut:

You can now open the trade house inside maps. Binding it to something like F3 lets you quickly list valuable items mid-run without interrupting the flow.

Pack Spirit Plan Switching:

Pack Spirit plans do not show on your main screen unless you enable them. Open the Pack Spirit window, click the cog icon, and turn on “Main Screen Display.” Then bind keys for each plan. If you do not have the auto-switching feature from the season pass, set your commonly used plans to 1, 2, and 3 for quick access.

Auto-Aim and Auto-Channel:

These new SS11 options are extremely helpful. Ranged abilities can automatically target enemies, and channeling skills like Mind Control can be set to auto-channel with a single key press.

Graphics and UI Settings You Should Not Ignore

Several settings can drastically improve visibility, performance, or convenience.

Seasonal Visual Effects Toggle:

Seasonal effects—like Whispering Mist making the town look grainy—can be turned off if you prefer a clean visual environment.

Skill and Monster Transparency:

If flashy visuals make it difficult to see ground damage or enemy abilities, adjust transparency to your preference.

Inventory Style:

The game offers two inventory styles. The old one is cartoony; the newer one is cleaner and more in line with Diablo 4. SS12 is expected to introduce a third. If you pick style 2, you can choose whether the game pauses while your inventory is open. Do not use “unpaused inventory” during mapping unless you want to die; it’s mainly for fast chain-bossing like Keegan, where you need to inspect loot between kills.

Screen Scaling:

This setting controls how much information fits on your screen. It’s particularly important for the trade house. If you only see a few rows of listings, reduce scaling; on large monitors, you can comfortably view many more items at once.

Trade House Tips That Save FE

The trade house interface is getting a revamp next season, but for now, there are a few settings and filters that can make shopping—especially for pedigrees and crafting items—much more efficient.

Unit Price vs. Total Price Filters:

You can filter by total cost, unit price, or both simultaneously. For example, if bulk Ultimate Embers normally sell for 7.5 FE each, setting the unit price filter to 7.3 or 7.4 can reveal bargains, even if you only have a limited budget.

Advanced Affix Searches:

This feature is extremely powerful for items like Corners of Divinity. Instead of manually testing every combination, you can create a conditional group and search for items containing any two (or more) desired affixes. This saves tremendous time and Torchlight Infinite Flame Elementium early in the season when listings are abundant. You can also favorite potential items and later compare them in “My Collection” for the final purchase.

Preparing Skills and Gear for Alts

If you plan to start an alt, you can streamline the entire process with a little prep work.

Buy a low-level chest with high energy and purchase all the skills your build requires directly from the skill shop or trade house—skills such as Steamroll, Machine Guard, or Servant Life. After purchasing them:

1. Put them in your inventory.

2. Open the hamburger menu on the skill.

3. Reset its level.

You can now use these skills from level 1 on your new character. Drop them in your stash, switch characters, and pick them up on your alt. This lets you run full builds through the campaign rather than slowly ramping up.

Campaign Progression and Treasure Troves

Treasure Troves are the backbone of efficient early leveling. Each Trove grants a talent point the first time you clear it. If you use the campaign skip on an alt, return later and clear each Trove once, so you don’t lose talent points.

Treasure Troves also contain powerful early legendaries:

· Interlocking Soul for Moto players

· Omniscient Prototype (Almighty) for +100 energy

· Other build-defining items depending on class

If you struggle with a Trove boss, simply step back one Trove, level up, gear up, and try again.

Fastest Maps to Reach T7

Loot below T7 is almost meaningless now, so the goal is to reach T7 quickly. Choose the most linear maps in each zone:

· Glacial Abyss: Demi Man Village

· Lava Sea: Confession Chapel

· Thunder Waste: Grove of Calamity

· Voidlands: Filthy Forest

· Steel Forge: Alleys of the Lost or Thorny Filth

These maps offer straightforward layouts and minimal backtracking, making them ideal for rushing Traveler unlocks and advancing through Timemarks.
